TG Legal + Technology is pleased to announce a new AI tool developed by the firm that delivers fast, high quality legal work at scale is in the running for three awards at this year's Australian AI Awards.
Our AI platform acts as a full team member to deliver legal work faster, more consistently, at scale and without losing control or human oversight.
The platform helps to deliver large volumes of work across different industries and types of tasks – both for clients and internal use. It has access to all the same tools as our people (like email, task systems, and document templates) and works alongside them on legal tasks.
The tool was developed by Head of Digital Transformation Ben Lehman.
"By giving the AI the same tools as our lawyers and deeply embedding it in our processes, we can deliver fast, accurate legal work at scale. The AI operates as a real part of our team – not just a bolt-on tool," Ben said.
The platform has significantly enhanced team capacities by streamlining workflows and speeding up legal document review work. Document reviews that used to take several days can now be done in just minutes.
Ben joined the firm in December 2024 from international intellectual property services group IPH Ltd where he was Head of Digital. He was the founder of trade mark firm Applied Marks, where he developed an automated trade mark system and which was acquired by IPH. Ben has Bachelor degrees in law and science, majoring in computer science.
TG Legal + Technology Executive Chairman Adrian Tembel said: "AI is reshaping entire industries and how we work and the legal profession is no different. We are pleased to have created an AI tool that works alongside our people to deliver high quality outcomes for clients quickly, efficiently and accurately."
The three award categories TG Legal + Technology is a finalist in are: AI Innovator - Real Estate, AI Innovator - Legal Practice and Best Use of Agentic AI.
The award winners will be announced on November 5.
